Bibliotherapy

What is Bibliotherapy?
Bibliotherapy is the practice of using books and literature to support emotional and psychological wellbeing. Many of us already turn to reading material when we’re struggling, whether in the form of a website or book. We're looking for meaning, reassurance, or simply a sense that someone, somewhere, understands. Bibliotherapy takes that instinct and makes it a little more intentional.
The right book, at the right time, can help you feel seen. It can open up new ways of thinking, soften difficult feelings, and offer language for experiences you’ve never fully been able to name. It’s a gentle and reflective approach that works alongside whatever you’re facing: anxiety, grief, overwhelm, self-doubt, or periods of transition.

How Does It Work?
In my practice, I get to know where you are in your life and what you’re trying to make sense of. From there, if you're keen on exploring more, I might suggest books that might speak to your experiences or help you explore a theme more safely and deeply. You can as much or as little as your want, in your own time, and if stuff resonates, you can bring whatever surfaces back into the therapy room. Or not. It's up to you.
And you don’t need to be in therapy to benefit from these books—they can stand alone as tools for self-understanding. Click the links below to order directly.
